Some of my best memories of childhood were spent just throwing a football around, so I arranged for the school to buy one for these kids, so we could hang out in the gymnasium and do just that. Oh yea, we also watched cartoons and ate peanutbutter sandwiches. Yes, there was an educational worksheet about American Geography and money… but who’s going to remember that part… ?

My partner Mrs. Gwak and I sometimes had to present in classrooms. In this case, I wasn’t prepared with the right tech set-up, so we were delayed, and she had to imoprovise for about 5 min. (see below) We always had to cut the program a little bit short due to the time challenges. The best part was always going outside or presenting in the gymnasium like some schools allowed us to.

The most challeging presntation was at this middleschool classroom that had over 30 teenagers in it. Luckily I had arranged Star Wars vieos and an air popping (in addition to usual slideshow and worksheet) demonstration. But there was still chaos for the majority of the time. We actually had a blast, and possibly learned a thing or two. I’ll never forget the popcorn girls!
